Ventilated rainscreen facades are a versatile and effective solution for improving the performance and durability of buildings in both cold and warm climates. By creating a well-ventilated and insulated envelope, they contribute to energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and building longevity.

DynaPanel ventilated rainscreen systems offer a versatile solution for a wide range of building applications, including single-family homes, multi-story residential buildings, and commercial hi-rise structures and infrastructure applications.

Installing a ventilated rainscreen cladding facade can provide a range of benefits, including improved weather protection, enhanced energy efficiency, increased durability, and enhanced aesthetics.

Ventilated rainscreen cladding systems exhibit exceptional performance in challenging climatic conditions characterized by frequent rainfall, high humidity, and snow accumulation. The inherent design of these facades, featuring an air cavity behind the cladding panels, effectively manages moisture ingress.

This air cavity facilitates the rapid drainage of rainwater, preventing it from penetrating the wall assembly and saturating the insulation. Moreover, the continuous airflow within the cavity promotes efficient drying, minimizing the risk of moisture-related issues such as mold growth and wood rot.

When coupled with appropriately selected cladding materials that are resistant to weathering and moisture, ventilated rainscreen facades provide a robust and durable solution for buildings in demanding climatic zones, enhancing their longevity and energy efficiency.

DynaPanel Stone, Glass, and Vitreous Enamel panels can be seamlessly integrated within a mixed-use facade, resulting in a visually captivating and functionally versatile architectural expression. DynaPanel systems are thoughtfully designed for compatibility, affording architects and designers unparalleled flexibility in material selection. This harmonious combination empowers the creation of distinct zones within the building envelope, each imbued with its own unique character and functional purpose.

For instance, DynaPanel Stone might be used in areas where a more traditional aesthetic is desired, while DynaPanel Glass and Vitreous Enamel panels can be strategically integrated to create striking accents, convey specific design themes, or even facilitate wayfinding through the incorporation of digitally printed imagery. To ensure the most cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing realization of the design vision, we strongly recommend a collaborative discussion with Dynamic Cladding’s experienced technical team.

Standard DynaPanel Glass and Vitreous Enamel panels are manufactured in dimensions up to 3000mm by 1250mm. Larger panel sizes can be accommodated upon specific request. DynaPanel Stone Panels, while adhering to a standard maximum size of 2000mm by 1000mm, can be custom produced in larger dimensions, reaching a maximum of 3000mm by 1200mm to suit individual project requirements.

DynaPanel Glass and Vitreous Enamel: The system achieves the highest fire performance classification of A1, to the robust European standards of (EN 13501-1) they are non-combustible and do not contribute to fire spread in any way.

DynaPanel Stone: The system achieves a fire performance classification of A2-s1, d0, which signifies non-combustibility according to European standards (EN 13501-1). This means they do not contribute to the spread of fire and produce minimal smoke and no flaming droplets.

It’s important to note that specific fire performance ratings can vary depending on the exact system configuration and local building codes. Consulting with DynaPanel’s technical team and reviewing relevant test reports is crucial for ensuring compliance with specific project requirements.

By prioritizing fire-resistant materials and rigorous testing, DynaPanel systems contribute to the overall fire safety of buildings.

Rainscreen facades offer a significant speed advantage in installation. This is achieved through several key factors:

  • Off-site prefabrication: Many components are built beforehand, streamlining on-site work and minimizing delays.
  • Modular design: Pre-engineered materials enable rapid assembly.
  • Dry installation: Weather-resistant, minimizing delays from rain or other conditions.
  • Reduced labour: Requires fewer workers on-site, improving efficiency.
  • Lightweight materials: Pre-engineered lightweight materials, simplifying handling, transportation, and installation.
  • These factors make rainscreen facades a compelling choice for projects where rapid construction is crucial.

Factory-prefabricated panels refer to our cladding panels that are manufactured in our controlled factory environment, fully finished and ready for direct installation on-site.

DynaPanel ventilated rainscreen cladding facades can indeed be considered sustainable building solutions. Here’s why:

  • Energy Efficiency: The ventilated cavity behind the cladding enhances the building’s insulation, reducing energy consumption for both heating and cooling. This translates to lower energy bills and a reduced environmental impact.
  • Durability and Longevity: DynaPanel systems are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, minimizing the need for frequent repairs or replacements. This durability extends the building’s lifespan and reduces the environmental impact associated with construction and demolition waste.
  • Material Selection: DynaPanel offers a range of sustainable material options, including recycled content materials and those with high recycled content potential.
  • Reduced Maintenance: The robust design and high-quality materials minimize the need for ongoing maintenance, further reducing the environmental impact and associated costs.
  • Reduced Materials: DynaPanel prefabricated, lightweight panels use less raw materials in the construction of their systems over traditional products.
  • Reduced transportation and Energy Requirements: The lightweight nature of DynaPanel systems offers significant logistical advantages. Reduced transportation needs translate to lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions, minimizing the environmental impact. Furthermore, the lightweight design minimizes the on-site energy requirements for storage, handling, and lifting, leading to reduced energy consumption.

By incorporating these sustainable features, DynaPanel ventilated rainscreen cladding facades contribute to a more environmentally responsible and energy-efficient built environment.

DynaPanel offers the capability to digitally print photorealistic images onto both the Glass and Vitreous Enamel panels. This innovative technique allows for seamless integration of natural elements, artwork, or bespoke patterns, offering unparalleled customization.

High-resolution images can be seamlessly applied across multiple panels, facades and gracefully around corners, creating immersive and visually striking architectural experiences that foster a profound connection between the built environment and its surroundings.

DynaPanel systems offer multiple solutions for corner detail’s, these include:

  • Factory produced mitred edges, for open joints details.
  • The accommodation of corner profiles for high impact areas.
  • Factory prefabricated corner elements and multiple styles.
  • Butt Jointed Solutions.
  • Cut-Away Butt Joint Solutions.

Consulting with DynaPanel’s technical team is recommended to determine the most suitable corner detail solution for a specific project.
